FATt Sentences

Your teacher might have you practice writing a "FATt" sentence in order to help you craft a Thesis statement. A FATt sentence is meant to be an acronymn; that is, FATt stands for elements of a good thesis sentence:

F: Focus

A: Author

T: Text

t: Text type

These elements don't have to be in order, depending on how you want your sentence to sound:

Harper Lee's (Author) novel (text type), To Kill a Mockingbird (Text), examines racial tensions in the 20th century (focus).
