GEAR REVIEW FEATURES From the well-manicured frets, pinstripe binding, and highly polished clear finish, to the traditional Guild headstock logo, insignia, and mother-ofpearl rosette, the guitar’s appearance is clean yet detailed. Teaming a solid Sitka spruce top, Sitka spruce scalloped X bracing, and solid Indian rosewood back and sides yields an abounding body and presence in the bass, shimmering highs, and beefy mids that cut through the mix. These tonewoods combined with the jumbo body produce tons of volume even when you’re not plugged in. The sizeable body boasts 16 5/8” at the widest bout, 4 1/2” max depth, and length of 21”. This is a big guitar on anybody’s lap! The neck is mahogany with Indian rosewood fretboard and 70 DIGITAL EDITION bridge, mother-of-pearl dot inlay fret markers, and a 25 1/2” scale length. Intonation discrepancies are resolved with the compensated bone saddle, providing sweet-sounding chords all across the neck (12-string players will surely appreciate this feature). And the 1 7/8” wide bone nut allows comfortable room between string pairs for easy chording. Double truss rods provide stability to counter the extra tension of additional strings and are accessible through the sound-hole. Hardware includes fully enclosed, nickel-plated die-cast machine heads, and two chrome strap buttons – the bottom one doubling as a 1/4” output jack to an amp or P.A.
