Curious to hear what this bad boy amp could do , I plugged in my Les Paul and Strat for comparison . The single coils , especially the neck position , were absolutely funky-licious when I dialed up a clean to slightly distorted sound . But to my ears , the humbuckers won hands down in all categories . Both channels are equally inspiring . This amp proves its versatility from ultra clean to classic British to the super saturated sustain of a Mesa . ■

Orange makes no apologies for this badass amp with its attention to detail and high-quality , which might help soften the blow of the price tag . Clearly Dual Dark is targeted for hard rock and metal , but classic rock and blues players shouldn ’ t dismiss this amp . Dual Dark 50 is a pro-line , concert-ready head that will give you the power and tone for live shows and recording .
