The MC/vocalist has left a great legacy
Tenor Fly came through in the 90s and remained
a constant vocal force in the scene till this day.
Whether you’ve heard him through his work with
The Freestylers, his lyrical contributions to reggae
influenced music from jungle to dancehall or at one
of the many events he’s performed at - you know his
passion and l ove for the music.
Hailing from Brixton his unmistakable voice and
wicked lyrical ability turned tracks to songs. His
career was long and prosperous, and saw him work
on a vast number of projects spanning a range of
genres while managing to keep things locked down
to the roots.

installment of his two part series,
following Revelation Part I: The Root of
Life, released back in 2011. Whereas The
Root of Life is more a traditional roots
reggae album, The Fruit of Life will is
more diverse in its sound, expressing
the far-reaching impact Jamaican music
has had on various genres, especially
hip-hop.
Produced by Marley, Fruit of Life
boasts 18 new tracks and features a
variety of guest collaborations with
Rick Ross, Pit Bull, Damian “Jr. Gong”
Marley, Iggy Azalea, Waka Flocka, Dead
Prez, Rakim, DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes,
Wyclef Jean, Shaggy, Black Thought
(of The Roots), Bounty Killer, Sizzla,
Capleton, Ky-Mani Marley, Jo Mersa and
more. “The Fruit is about the different
branches; there are many pages within
my mind, many colors and ideas” says
Marley. “We come from a versatile
generation that can’t be put in a box.”

to Protoje’s ‘Who Knows’,
featuring Chronixx
The original version of ‘Who Knows’ hit over 22
million views on YouTube when it was first released
last year, and was also named Radio 1’s Hottest
Record in the World and Track of the Day, proving
that Protoje is standing at the forefront of the
growing Reggae Revival movement. Now the track’s
laidback rhythms have been given a new lease
of life courtesy of Shy FX’s frenetic drum & bass
embellishment. Directed by Storm, the brand new
video for the track captures the colourful sights,
sounds and characters of a glorious Jamaican
summer.
