Giddy Up (Level 1) Even if you’ve never ridden a horse, you’re going to love this session! Learn how to find your groove as you ride a horse with minimal assistance and even go on a trail ride! Paint a horse with your hands, rock out with horse- themed crafts, paddle your way around the canoe pond, and cool off with a daily dip in the pool! Girls Grades: 2-4 Dates: July 29-Aug. 3 Sun.-Fri. (5 nights) Cost: $425 per person Horsin’ Around (Level 1) If you’ve never ridden a horse but you love all things horsey, hop in the saddle and get comfy! You don’t need to be a rodeo rider to be a cowgirl at camp! Learn the basics of western riding, horse safety, and grooming techniques, and enjoy cowgirl crafts, games, and activities. There’s more than just horsey fun to be had. All the great camp activities you know and love will be on the agenda—archery, swimming, canoeing, and more! Girls Grades: 4-8 Session 1: June 24-29 Sun.-Fri. (5 nights) Session 2: July 1-6 Sun.-Fri. (5 nights) Session 3: July 22-27 Sun.-Fri. (5 nights) Cost: $425 per person Blazing Saddles (Level 3) Giddy up! Trot a little faster, learn to canter, and ride the trail like the cowgirl you are! Expand your horsemanship know-how by riding in the ring and tacking up your own horse. Learn all the tricks of the trade and give a hand at the barn. There’s more than just horsey fun to be had. All the great camp activities you know and love will be on the agenda—archery, swimming, nature, and more! Prerequisite: Camper must have experience steering her horse independently at a trot. Completion of Back in the Saddle (Level 2) or documented riding lessons is required. Girls Grades: 6-10 Session 1: July 1-6 Sun.-Fri. (5 nights) Session 2: July 15-20 Sun.-Fri. (5 nights) Cost: $425 per person Back in the Saddle (Level 2) Trai l Boss (Advanced Horse Session) Hop right back in that saddle, cowgirl! Trot and canter down Skymeadow’s advanced horse trails, and compete against your pals in a trail class! Learn some rodeo skills as you learn to run barrels and poles. At the end of the week, show off all your skills at Skymeadow’s first horse show! Prerequisite: Camper must have experience steering her horse independently at a trot and canter.
