CAMP REDWING
Camp Redwing in Renfrew , Butler County , has been delivering amazing adventures for Girl Scouts since 1923 . Just 15 minutes from downtown Butler , 45 minutes north of downtown Pittsburgh , 86 miles from Johnstown and 104 miles south of Erie , this beautiful camp spans 123 acres along the Connoquenessing Creek .
For nearly a century , Camp Redwing has offered girls , troops and families traditional Girl Scout camping experiences , with archery , canoeing , swimming and hiking .
Camp Redwing is available throughout the year for troops , groups and service units . Plan a summer day camp , service unit camp or weekend event or design your western Pennsylvania excursions and use Redwing as your lodging option .
Enjoy the best of both worlds at Redwing by relaxing around the campfire after an exciting day in the big city ! With close proximity to the Pittsburgh region , wonderful museums , exciting professional sporting events , fun concerts , live theater and unique local attractions are within an hour ’ s drive from camp .
Camp Redwing can accommodate large groups with two heated lodges , a dining hall , amphitheater , five platform tent units and a yurt unit . Camp Redwing has a large pool with water slide , canoeing on the creek and a nice archery range .

Your Girl Scout group , company , organization or church group can explore , celebrate and grow with a planned event or trip to one of our camps !
Plan your next Girl Scout adventure , birthday party , family reunion or corporate event at one of our beautiful camps . Conshatawba , Hawthorne Ridge and Skymeadow facilities are available for rental more than 40 weeks of the year , when summer camp isn ’ t in session . Fall , winter , spring — there ’ s so much to do at any time of the year ! Camp Redwing is available throughout the year and can accommodate small or large groups . What you include on your weekend is up to you ! Contact us to discuss all your options and reserve space for your group .
Accommodations
We offer a variety of accommodations to meet the needs of the many diverse groups . Choose between lodges , tents , sleeping cabins or yurt units for an awesome adventure . All year-round accommodations have their own kitchens , and most have indoor bathrooms and shower facilities . Rental groups have free use of the pavilions , athletic fields and trails .
Activities
Our camps offer a variety of activities such as low and high ropes , archery , canoeing and swimming . These activities require a trained facilitator , which you can request from us or bring your own . Book today to reserve your adventure .
How to Reserve a Camp Facility
1 Check a camp ’ s availability by clicking on the “ Availability ” links for each camp at gswpa . org / camp-reservations , and see the
details and rental rates for the camp ’ s facilities .
2 Once you ’ ve chosen your camp , facilities and dates , click on the camp reservation link , AND fill out the “ Equipment Rental
Reservation Form ” on our website . These forms can be found by visiting our “ Forms Library ” at gswpa . org / forms .
3 In order to receive your security deposit after your visit , complete and submit the Camp Departure Form , which
will be sent once your registration is complete .
