World Thinking Day
Camp Redwing Splash Pad Grand Opening (Family Event)
Camp Redwing
As a Girl Scout, you are part of a special group of girls that
stretches across the world. Every February, Girl Scouts and Girl
Guides from 146 countries celebrate World Thinking Day. Join
GSWPA for our own local celebration. Camp Redwing can’t wait for you to come and try out
the new splash pad! GSWPA invites you to celebrate the
Summer Solstice with a hot dog roast, s’mores, and, of
course, a chance to cool off on the splash pad! Make a
quick stop or stay for a while—this event is sure to make
you smile! All participants will receive a fun patch!
Grade Level: Daisy-Ambassador
Date: Sat., February 23, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cost: $15 per girl; $5 per adult
Maple Syrup Making
Camp Conshatawba
Tap into the full potential of winter with maple syrup making!
Learn the ins and outs of maple sugaring tradition, how to tap
trees, and collect and boil sap. But don’t leave before the pancakes
are done and test out our homemade syrup. The weather might
be cold, but the syrup is piping hot. All girls must attend with a
parent, guardian, or troop leader. Fun patch is included.
Grade Level: Brownie–Adult
Date: Sat., March 9
Session 1: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
Session 2: 1–4 p.m.
Cost: $15 per person
Earth Day Festival
Camp Redwing
Girls and volunteers of all ages are invited to celebrate Earth
Day with GSWPA at our festival! Celebrate our Earth with fun
crafts and activities, from making a recycled art project to
identifying animal tracks.
Grade Level: Daisy-Ambassador
Date: Sat., April 13, 1-5 p.m.
Cost: $15 per girl; free for adults
Sherwood Forest
Camp Hawthorne Ridge
Hear ye, hear ye! Learn how to wield a bow just like Robin Hood
of yore! Try your hand at using a slingshot and see if you can hit
the bullseye. Special guests will be right at camp to teach girls
the skills needed to be a member of Robin Hood’s outlaw group
of merry women!
Grade Levels: Brownie-Ambassador
Date: Sat., May 4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cost: $25 per girl; $15 per adult

Fourth of July Festival (Family Event)
Camp Skymeadow
Come out to camp to celebrate the Fourth of July with
Girl Scouts! Create your own adventure by picking
which activities you want to do and when. Choose from
activities like archery, canoeing, pony rides, fishing, arts
and crafts, nature, and swimming. This is a free-form
event, so you’re welcome to come and go throughout
the day. Hot dogs will be hot on the grill starting at 11 a.m.
and running through the end of the event—enjoy them
with some chips and bug juice. It’s fun for the whole
family! Moms, dads, daughters, sons, and
friendly neighbors are all welcome.
Open to families—participants age 4 and up only
Date: Sat., July 6, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Cost: $35 per child, $30 per adult
Discovery Camp (Day Event)

Calling all Daisies and Brownies!
Do you love nature, exploring, and
having a fun time outdoors? Then
come out to get a taste of what
Girl Scout camp is like! Get a feel
for camp life with pony rides,
crafts, nature, fishing, gaga ball,
and swimming. Lunch and a
fun patch will be provided.
