Giddy Up (Introduction Level) Back in the Saddle (Level 2)
Even if you’ve never ridden a horse, you’re going to love this
session! Not only will you learn how to ride a horse, but you’ll
also do a ton of other fun, horsey activities, like painting a horse
with your hands and horse-themed crafts. Cool off at the pool
and paddle your way around the pond, too! Saddle up and get trotting! At this session, you’ll learn more
about horse care by lending a hand at the barn. There’s more
than just horsey fun to be had—all the great camp activities
you know and love will be on the agenda, too, like swimming,
archery, and exploring nature.

horse independently at a walk. Completion of Horsin’
Around (Level 1) or equivalent documented riding
experience is required.

Have you always wanted to go to horse camp but seem to never
have enough time? This short, entry-level horse session will get
you in the saddle and comfortable around the barn. No need for
any prior experience with horses, but prior experience with FUN
is always welcome! You’ll also kick back at the pool and make a
few new friends.

Pony Party (Introduction Level) Canter around the ring in this week-long horse session!
Expand your horsemanship know-how through riding
lessons and learning how to tack your own horse. Learn
all the tricks of the trade and give a hand at the barn.
Don’t forget all your favorite camp activities, like
swimming, archery, and exploring nature.
Are horses your “mane” thing? Then this entry-level horseback
riding session is for you! Learn the basics of riding and horse
care. You’ll also get your chance to have fun while you swim,
craft, play games, and enjoy many more camp activities! Prerequisite: Camper must have experience steering
her horse independently at a trot. Completion of Back
in the Saddle (Level 2) or equivalent documented riding
experience is required.

Horsin’ Around (Level 1) Trail Boss (Advanced)
If you love all things horsey, hop in the saddle and get comfy!
Learn the basics of western riding, horse safety, and grooming
techniques. All the great camp activities you know and love will
be on the agenda, too—swimming, archery, canoeing, and crafts.
Entering Grades: 4-8
Session 1: June 23-28, Sun.-Fri. (5 nights)
Session 2: July 14-19, Sun.-Fri. (5 nights)
Session 3: July 28-August 2, Sun.-Fri. (5 nights)
Cost: $425 per person
Trot and canter down Camp Skymeadow’s trails and learn
some rodeo skills doing barrels and poles. At the end of the
week, compete against your pals in a rail show, strutting your
stuff and showing off all the skills you honed during the week.
Prerequisite: Camper must have experience steering her
horse independently at a canter. Completion of Blazing
Saddles (Level 3) or equivalent documented riding
experience is required.
