She was the recipient of many honors:
•Honorary member of the Board of Directors of GSRI
•National Board of GSUSA presented her with a Bronze Medal
•Inductee in the Olave Baden-Powell Society (an international Girl Guide/Girl Scout Society to promote Girl Guides/Girl Scouts worldwide) in honor of her significant contributions to the Girl Guides and the Girl Scouts
•Inductee into the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame
•Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award given by Providence College and Cox Communications
Kit was not just a camper, nor just a Girl Scout. She was the embodiment of a woman who devoted her life to doing something that she truly believed in, so well that she had friends and disciples around the world.
