2 3 4 5 6 96 Winter Events 7 1. Summer Freeman, Hanjoo Bae, and Eedo Wilson enact a scene together. The scene they enacted was where children came to Sunday school, but were pushed aside by the Herdmans, newcomers to the church scene. 2. Mya Freeman receives the spotlight as she confidently monologues on stage. She played the role of Beth Bradley, a curious and intelligent character. 3. The second grade class join their voices as they sing during the concert. They held candles while 1 singing Silent Night during what was essentially a Christ- mas Program within a Christmas program. 4. Summer Freeman joyfully sings while wearing a halo. She sang “A Little Town of Bethlehem,” one of the Christmas carols performed by the Elementary students. 5. Leo Cheon and Kain Choi join their classmates as they sing “Silent Night.” The Elementary students sang other Christmas carols such as “Away in a Manager” and “While Shepherds Watched their Flock.”. 6. Yuki Sugihara lays the doll, representing baby Jesus, in a manager. Yuki played the role of Imo- gene, a rough young woman with no understanding of the gospel of Christmas in the beginning of the play whose kindhearted side is revealed as the play progresses. 7. Dora Li, Juna Ariyoshi, Taniya Christober, and Lydia Barr grasp each other’s hands as they take a bow. The cast was received warmly by the audience during curtain call, and many a teary eye was seen as those who viewed the play were leaving the heart-warming performance.
