After my DP performance of
“Twelve Variations” every-
one complemented me
on my flute performance.
However, my IB exam
was interrupted by an au-
dience member, so I had
to re-perform my song.
Unfortunately, I was
more satisfied with
my first perfor-
mance because
less mistakes
were made, but
I had to submit
my second one
to the IB.

During my piano perfor-
mance of “Waltz, Op. 64
No. 2”, I couldn’t remember
how to play the song, so I
played random notes be-
cause I had to keep going.
Ms. Lee sat next to me to
encourage me to continue
with my performance. I
remembered the notes
right after I came
down from the
stage, but peo-
ple still said my
performance and
perseverance was
inspiring.
