Mr. Francois is teaching Ivy Kim where to mark before drilling a hole for the clock mechanism. 3. Ikoi Okagaki calculates the angles for the placement of the digits on the clock face. 4. Ashley Nam is cutting out unit specific terms and writing the definitions of each for her Biology class. The unit was about Energy; this activity was to help them memorize unit vocab- ulary. 5. David Cho finalizes his acrylic piece after investigating the different materials available. The sixth-graders learned valuable 22 Academics 3 6 8 information about the Design Cycle during this project, incluing the basics of Investigation and Planning. 6. John Tuohy is partici- pating in an activity for his Biology class. Their unit focused on the transfer of heat and the different types of energy. 7. Gupta Nirvika and Vishnoi Khushi are listening attentively to the presentation in Biology class. The presentation, presented by their classmates, was about radiation, conduction, and convection. 8. Jha Abhinav, Jayden Cho, and Emily Keum are playing math games specifically given by Mr. Chiang. The game was practice for the students to solve equations in order to find patterns.
