The final stretch of the race. We are ready to step into the
long-awaited summer break as the stress from academics and
fatigue from continued weeks of school become overwhelming to
us. Classes, activities, and school routines have become repeti-
tive, and we are all challenged physically, mentally, and even spir-
itually. However, the moments when we find ourselves the most
drained are also the moments that stretch our limits the most.
Even when we are exhausted, the excitement of thrilling new
experiences during VASE trips motivate us and lead us to invest
ourselves fully to serving communities abroad. Athletes are chal-
lenged to extend their limits on the soccer field, in the swimming
pool, or on the basketball court, in the midst of mounting pres-
sure from other sources. Ignite encouraged students to invest
themselves in forming new relationships and uniting through faith.
Events like STOP enhanced students’ creativity and tested their
courage as they proudly displayed their talents in front of teachers
and peers. The NHS Dodge ball Tournament also stretched the
limits of the students and teachers by encouraging them to remain
active and lively in the middle of a fatiguing day.
The spring season may make us feel vulnerable, unmotivated,
and lethargic. The fact that the end is approaching sometimes
makes us feel too relaxed to the point that we become lackadai-
sical. On the other hand, when we aspire to motivate ourselves
during these moments of vulnerability, that is when we experience
the most growth. The more you sacrifice, the more you accept
challenges in the midst of hardships, the tougher you grow and,
ultimately, learn more about yourself. There is no limit to the pos-
sibilities of growth, even when you are tired and circumstances
do not go your way. So, stay strong as you welcome spring and
warm weather. The summer break is patiently waiting for us at the
end.
