1. Will Ko jumps on Brian Youn’s back as they get ready to go back into class. Even though the snow did not stick, the students enjoyed their first day of snow as it arrived very late this year. 2. Oscar Freeman pushes a snowball down the amphitheater stairs as his teacher Mr. Freeman and his classmates Jose Ward and Joon Young Park watch. 3. Sieun Lee, Jiwon You, Itomi Ishizuka, Jisu You, and Betty Hwang, share their brownies they bought at the bake sale. Ever so often students get to buy extra snacks during lunch time. These items went to aid in the purchase of coal briquettes for the community of Soha-dong in Kwangmyung-shi. 4. The juniors: Sarah Kim, Caelan Hodge, Kimin Lee, Dongin Kwak, Ben Kim, and Adam Bae spend their lunch time in the library. During Winter the library gets crowded with students who do not want to go outside in the snow. While students are encour- aged to study, they are given some leniency and also allowed to talk quietly. 5. Grade one, Riker Pownall gathers snow in his hands during recess and tosses it into the air. Afterwards, he joined his classmate on the snow-mound and slid down it. 6. Max Kim and Mr. Lozano take a pause from their Frontline meeting to pose for the camera. Frontline juniors and seniors often met during lunch since they no longer had homeroom to plan events and student-led chapels. 7. Jacob Jung, spends his recess collecting leaves as a symbolic representation of humans’ relationship with Christ. The wilted leaf represented someone who believes in Jesus, but does not follow Him, while the vibrant leaf represented someone who believes in Jesus and follows His ways. 8. Grade one students worked with the other students in elementary to build a giant snow-mound so that they could lay on their stomachs and slide down it. Justin An prepared to slide next as Hayden Choe waited patently for her turn. 9. Sarah Wilson and Louie Chung take a selfie on the field. They were taking a break from playing volleyball. 10. Alice Park tells a joke to Tatiana Laroche as they finish their lunch. Afterwards they went out to the soccer field. Teri Park, Emily Lee, Cindy Kang, and Sunny Kim skip together across the field, as they try to get the perfect picture. For the entire lunch, they had fun holding hands and jumping on the field. 6 9 7 8 10 99
