Fall Events
1. After the annual SEW fashion show, Martin Lee takes a selfie with
Jean Yi, Lucas Lee, Andrew Kim, Gabriel Shon, Louie Chung, Michael
Ahn, and Daniel Lim with a ’selfie stick’. After all the hard work that
went into the dressing up and preparation for the fashion show, stu-
dents wanted to remember the moment by taking a photo together.
2. Justin Hong, Carrie Jung, and Kylie Hur lead praise during an af-
ternoon chapel. SEW is a time when students can enjoy the ab-
sence of classes, but the main purpose of SEW is to emphasize
spiritual aspects, making chapel an important session during SEW.
3. Mrs. Jenny Kim prepares to dump water from her buck-
et on Chang Min Moon during the water fight. Some teachers
were more excited to participate in the water fight than students.
4. David Shin rides up to the front of the audience as the main character
in ’Jjangu’, a famous Japanese animation character. To prepare for the
fashion show, students had to consider makeup, clothes, as well as extra
accessories. 5. David Kim, Jun Woo Kang, and Teri Park cheer as Jenny
Kim tries to eat the Oreo on her face without using her hands. During
the rotation activities, each homeroom united as a group and tried their
best to win the competitions. 6. During the rotation activities, Jungmin
Kim shakes his head in order to increase the number on his pace count-
er. Each homeroom tried their best to have the highest number on their
pace counter by shaking their heads for one minute each. 7. Lucas Lee,
Jisu You, Angela Kang, Rose Kim, Sae Takeuchi, Hannah Kim look at the
cellphone Mrs. Chang holds during the ‘Pokemon Go’ activity. During
‘Pokemon Go’, homerooms went around the local area to take photos
of designated places Frontline chose beforehand. This allowed them to
earn Pokemon characters. 8. Jin Yoon and Sarah Jin pretend to attack
each other during the SEW fashion show. Jin Yoon represented Superman
and later fought Mr. Laroche, who was dressed up as Batman. 9. Sarah
Kim dumps water on Joanne Lee during the fashion show. To match the
theme of ‘viral videos’, Joanne and Sarah represented the ALS Ice Bucket
Challenge. 10. Vaughn Schneider and Peter Jeong set up decorations
for SEW. The Frontline team members spent time on weekends and also
during their summer break to organize and make this year’s SEW a suc-
cess. 11. Heeyoon Kim blocks Cindy Kang as she tries to dump water
on her. The GSIS tradition of ending SEW with a water fight was revived
this year.
