Mr. Tirkey and Jaden Kim let loose and shouts out as loud as he can at the SEW fashion show. Each home- room was given a theme and three days to create and organize costumes to be shown off on the final day of SEW. #Be_OutGOinG Academic Community 1. The teachers and students team up to win a game of Tug-of-War at the Fall Pep Rally. The Pep Rally was not only to encourage school spirit, it was used as a time of bonding between teachers and students, grades, and classes. 2. Mr. Pownall and Kona Brumsickle “dab” as Biology class begins. As an icebreaker at the beginning of the year, Mr. Pownall and the class constructed a handshake to be performed at the start of every class time. 3. Mr. Chiang leans over to see what the problem is on Irene Jeong’s computer. Mr. Chiang introduced the students to a new program on their computer where they can graph lines during their unit on quadratic equations. 4. Ms. Kim looks at all the art the Kindergarten class creates and gives positive feedback. Mr. Freeman and Ms. Kim work as a team and have developed close bonds with all the students. 5. Ms. Choi and Woo Jin Lee share a laugh during the Lower Secondary SEW water fight. The water fight is an annual SEW tradition performed by the students and teachers alike where people can let loose and have some fun. 6. The grade seven class creates Venn diagrams to compare and contrast the qualities of God and the qualities of humans. As a substitute teacher, Ms. Lee gets to meet and interact with many of the school’s students and has a wonderful time doing so. 46 Academic Community
