Publication class is special for me because it gave me an artistic identity . Before I had no confidence in art . I hated drawing and every drawing I drew looked like Picasso . But through publications , Mrs . Lo helped me to discover my artistic skills . |

Publications is a class that uses deadlines to simulate a real workplace environment . Publications has shaped me to become a strong , independent and responsible individual . Publications requires me to be a role model who challenges his peers to be self-sufficient and trustworthy team members .

1 . During 8 an extended C Block , seniors Stephanie Kim , Siwon Lee , Woojin Lee , and Sarah Kim , take a break from their publications work and watched the YouTube video ‘ Blood Sweat

Tears ’ by the K-pop group BTS . 2 . News writer Sarah Wilson spends her I Block testing out the manual settings on the DSLR . All students are required to take photos of their
10 classes to help build up the academics and student life pages for the yearbook . 3 . Cindy Kim and Susan Park identify infographics from a sample yearbook page . During the first week of September , students were broken off into their assigned roles and were trained by either Mrs . Lozano or the editors . 4 . Haijin Park writes the pros and cons of a sample yearbook page . As this was her first year in publications class , she was required to do this during the first week of September . 5 . Jaden Jeong identifies students in a photo by printing it out . If a student cannot be identified , publications students go to the office to get them identified . 6 . During C Block , publication class , Clara Shin went to interview Sarah Kim for her page . It was her first time interviewing so she was a little nervous . 7 . Mrs . Lozano reviews Tivan George ’ s three leads for his publications yearbook article . Students have to write three versions of their lead to create the most effective one . 8 . On September 6 , David Kim taught new publication students how to make exemplary layouts . He showed them where the weak spots were of the sample page by writing on the board . 9 . Publications made me into a more positive and happy person . Through the life that students bring into this class they have shaped me into a better teacher and person . I am appreciative of every group of students I have had the honor of working with . This is one of my favorite classes to teach because students are free and there are many different possibilities for students to be creative and unleash their unexplored potential locked inside .
