1. Janet Ahn shows the class her chosen function on her computer. In the math class, the students were broken up into six different teams to explore dif- ferent functions, which they presented to the class. 10 2. Lucas Lee and Andrew Kim listen to Martin Lee as he attempts to teach them about a problem that might show up on the quiz. The students discussed the problems and clarified any questions they had with their group and the teacher. 3. James Ahn and Loukas Kang hold up their personal QR codes to answer questions. The students had their own QR codes the teacher could scan using her phone, which helped decrease pressure when answering questions. 4. Lucas Lee poses on the floor as his group films a video for his English class. The students studied 11 film-making using different film techniques after having a fishbowl discussion about a book they read. 5. Diana 6 Kim has a mock discussion on bilingualism with Jin Yoon in Spanish class. The class reviewed the subjunctive verb tense and prepared for their upcoming oral assessment that they had the following class. 6. Yerin Choi records herself answering questions from the textbook using her MacBook. The students were told to read a passage from the textbook about computers and answer ques- tions about technology. 7. Jeremi Yoo, Nathan Park, Guang Tseng, and Irene Jeong play Catch Phrase with Mrs Pitkin in English class. After playing Catch Phrase, they class learned about irony and imagery. 8. Gina Park talks with Cindy Kim as they make a chart about the play ‘Romeo and Juliet’. In their chart, they compared two characters, the Nurse and Tybalt and their charac- teristics . 9. Winky Kim plays the role of a parent in a skit they acted out in class. The theme of the skit was “consequences”. 10. Sarah Wilson, Freddy Seo, and Ji Won You discuss their summative film in English class. 7 The students were broken up into groups and told to recreate a short film. 11. Cindy Kim and Jaime Suh act out the conversation in the textbook. The students had a lesson about describing the appearance of a person using Mandarin. 12. Peter Jeong divides the roles with his group members into researching the different as- pects of 19 th century America.
