1. Cindy Jung and Shing Ti, one of the daughters of the SMOC teachers, watch the other kids as they play Jenga during their free time. After two hours of English class in the morning, students had a short break before eating lunch. 2. Michael Ahn rips off the masking tape used to organize the painting for hopscotch. Using the masking tape allowed students to paint in a straight line. 3. Andrew Kim gives one of the SMOC kids a piggy back ride after the Easter Egg Hunt. To celebrate Easter, the Myanmar VASE members organized an egg hunt by hiding eggs with candy and small stamps inside. 4. Christine Nam plays rock-scissors-paper with the kindergarteners. Since it was the last day the GSIS team was in China, they said their final goodbyes. 5. Daniel Oh points at the goose on the pond to show it to one of the orphans from SMOC. On the third day, the Myanmar VASE students and some of the SMOC orphans went over to the local botanical garden as a field trip. 6. Martin Lee tries out his Snapchat filters with a few of the orphans in SMOC. Although the orphans in Myanmar had seen cameras before, it was their first experience with Snapchat filters, making them excited to try it out. 7. Tatiana Laroche paints the number “7” on the hopscotch game. Some of the GSIS students painted on the ground so the students in China could enjoy playing a variety of games. 8. Christine Nam and Jaime Suh clean the plastic balls in the ball pit. While the girls cleaned, the guys applied glue on the plastic edges of the staircase.
