man, Mr. Bertken, and Ms. Chan coached
the JV Girls basketball team together.
2. Alex Yoo practices her layups to improve
her field goal percentage. The girls all
made a line in front of the hoop and took
turns practicing their layups. 3. Taeeun
Uhm steals the basketball away from the
APIS Greenhawks. In order to maintain
possession of the ball, Taeeun dove for the
ball the moment it was dropped. 4. Alice
Park attempts to weave around the APIS
Greenhawks. Alice had to decide what she
was going to do quickly in order to avoid
having the ball stolen.
5. Sarah Wilson prepares to leap up and
grab the rebound. After losing possession
due to a difficult pass, the Lady Knights
were eager to regain the ball. 6. The JV
Girls Basketball team watches in anxious
anticipation to grab the rebound in case the
shot does not fall. 7. Jennifer Kim bounds
down the court, keeping the ball away from
her opponents. Jennifer played as a swing
player, running for both the JV and Varsity
teams to help out either team as needed.
8. The boys team build a bridge with their
hands. A common tradition for a good game
is for the opposing gender team to make a
bridge for the team. 9. The Girls JV team
keeps spirits high during a game by telling
jokes to one another. The teams wanted to
boost their positive attitude before, during,
