SCA makes an
IMPACT!
October: Buddy Bench
The buddy bench is a place to sit when you
need a friend to spend time with.
October 19: Movie Night
A movie was provided for every grade to
come and eat popcorn and spend time with
their friends while laughing through the
movies: ‘Magic School Bus’, ‘Lego Movie’,
and ‘Descendants’.
December: Home for the Elderly
Students went on a field trip to visit the
elderly. They painted, made Christmas cards,
and sang Christmas carols with them.
March 17: St. Patrick’s Day
SCA provided lollipops on a four
leaf clover with a Bible verse.
1. Students pretended they were having a day at the beach. In the spirit of summer, Anna Sanjeev and
Tanmay Gaikwad toss around a beach ball at the Winter Denial Party. There were many different stations
set up in the auditorium in addition to the beach ball station. Students could also paint, play relay events,
color, and take photos in their Summer attire. 2. Clare Son, Stephanie Ahn, and Subin Hwang paint the
letter “P” for pray. As students were in the week of prayer, banners were being raised to remind students
to pray. 3. Team Picture: Top Row: Mrs. Susan Kim, Randy Park, Maximilian Chin, Mingyo Jang, Francis

leads her line of friends during winter denial activities in the auditorium. They were playing ‘Dragon Tail’,
a game where two teams create lines and the line leader has to catch the student at the back of the op-
posing team’s line. Robyn’s team won when several of the students on Mrs. Huges team tumbled to the
floor. 5. After students entered the auditorium, they were greeted with a welcome from Mrs. Ward and
Francis Park. Francis is a grade five student and was given the task of speaking during the event.
6. Thomas Kaiser sits on the gymnastics mat to color his ideal summer fun scene. He used blue to create
a big ocean. Afterwards he joined in the fun of his peers by playing ‘Dragon Tail’.
