Winter Pep Rally
Eric Shin and Phillip Cho leap off the ground as they try to catch pieces of candy thrown by SCA Treasurer , Joanne Lee . Candy was thrown only if the grade participated in the “ Ba-ba-ba-ba- Suwon !” cheer , lead by SCA Public Relations Officer , Junwoo Kang .
1 . The seventh grade class cheers loudly for their classmates as they get recognized for their participation in sports . This winter the pep rally was
louder than ever because of the participation of both lower secondary and Upper secondary .
2 . Chanyel Back , Jun Kwon , and Zachariah Ward cheer for their teammates , as they come up
to get recognized one by one . Pep rallies allow teammates to celebrate achievements made by teams as a whole and individual members . 3 . Hannah Cho and Sunny Kim cheer loudly for their
senior class as their fellow classmates were recognized for sports . The pep rally dedicates time to seniors who are graduating from the team and thanks them for their participation . 4 . Martin Lee jumps over a hurdle as he runs on the spiky massage mats . Running and jumping over the massage mats was part of the relay race prepared by the SCA . 5 . Ethan Baek and his friends jump to grab candy thrown by Joanne Lee . Before the pep rally starts , the SCA hosts an unofficial team spirit contest by seeing which grade can yell the school cheer the loudest . 6 . Betty Hwang kneels as she performs her cheer routine . This was the cheer team ’ s last performance of the season . 7 . Leo Chun does his best to stand still as his friends attempt to throw inner-tubes over his body . This was a new creative relay game formulated by the SCA to improve gradebased teamwork . 8 . Keahi Brumsickle and Chris Jung spin and attempt to shoot a free-throw . SCA made games that allowed upper and lower secondary students to compete against each other . 9 . Peter Lee and Vaughn Schneider flip water bottles as they attempt to finish the relay race . Bottle flipping was the final challenge in the relay .
