2007 Christmas Concert Lois Kang and Sarah Kil ‘14 play the flute at their Christmas Concert. They were in fifth grade at the time this photo was taken. 2008 Christmas Concert Now a senior, Stephen Kil, was in fourth grade at the time of this photo. He played the bells for the Christmas Concert. 2009 Korean Class Now a senior, John Park was a fifth grader at the time this photo was taken, spelling words in Korean with clay. 2010 Korean Class In 2010, Monica Park and Sophia Hong were in second grade. They are now in seventh grade. The fourth graders pulled out various pieces of gym equipment to play with. Idrani Maiti selected the cement filled walking stick to gain a better understanding of balance. Dharshwana Muralidharan plays the xylophone during music class. Students were encouraged to be expressive while playing their instruments. 2. Mrs. Kilgore shows Evelyn Anderson how to perform a jazz square. In order to make sure the students were moving, Mrs. Kilgore often actively helped students with their dancing. 3. Varun Parasuraman, Ethan An, Noa IIzuka and Promise Yi place dodge-balls in the center of the court. The teams worked together to arrange them before playing against each other during the game. 4. Mathapelo Mabunda and Robyn Kim dance to the music during class. More than just learning about instruments, students often learned to enjoy the music as well. 5. Anant Agarwal checks his progress on an assignment using Schoology. Elementary students were required to have iPads to become more comfortable with technology. 6. After playing with various PE equipment, such as cement walkers, ropes, balls, and cones, Tanvi Mavuri returns the supplies back to their proper storage space. Each item is labeled in the closet so that students know where supplies go and can help keep the gym organized and clean. 7. Eedo Wilson and Meisa Ogi await instruction during music class. In order to get used to playing the xylophone, students often followed in rhythm with the teacher. 8. While learning about signs, students like Andy Umeda were given the assignment to use their iPads and look for signs around school. Once they located the signs, they took a picture of them and answered questions about the purpose of each sign.
