Mr. Coleman,
Mr. Anderson,
Mrs. Pownall
1. Grace Laroche, Ms. Sally Lee and Emily Stracke roar like lions during ES SEW.
Student leaders stood in front of them and yelled, followed by all the other students. 2. Mrs. Stracke, Ms. Kim and Eric Lee imitate
“Just Do It”, a viral video by Shia LaBeouf, during their fashion show performance. All of them wore fake beards as a homeroom and showed a great deal of
unity and teamwork. 3. Mr. Harding sings “Don’t Look Back in Anger” by Oasis at Acoustic Christmas. Mr. Smith, Mr. Dalton and Mr. Harding performed
together as a group and sang two songs, including one written by Mr. Smith called , “The Mandu Song.” 4. Mrs. Kaiser, Ms. Forbes and Sarah Porter
smile for the camera during Acoustic Christmas. Mrs. Forbes played a bingo game organized by GIN club, who prepared large gifts for the winners.
5. After the SEW fashion show, students and staff were given the opportunity to pose together in their costumes. Mr. Kilgore and Mr. Lozano join a
group of high school seniors and pose with them in front of Lena Park’s camera. 6. Returning from summer vacation, Mrs. Francois and Mr. Smith
catch up at the Back-to-School Bash on August 13. June Francois, Elliana Rains, and Iona Smith play together as their parents talk and watch the
students’ soccer game. 7. Mrs. Kim teaches the students how to make kimchi fried rice during SEW cooking class. During Upper Secondary SEW,
the students could take cooking classes during their free time and learn how to make Korean or Japanese dishes. 8. Mr. Lee smiles at the camera
as he is pushed into the kiddie pool by John Park and Trey Noh during Upper Secondary SEW outdoor games. The Frontline members and students
enjoyed themselves during the field activity. Students and teachers played Capture the Flag, and when they were caught by the opposite team members, they had to do push ups in a kiddie pool full of water.

My best memories of GSIS
are of the staff and faculty.
The varied, creative programs
planned by Mr. Eddie Lozano the
amazing chaplain form another
strong memory. I wish I could be
back in GSIS!

Not only was I able to meet
great faculty and teachers,
but I was also able to meet
really great students and
sometimes learn
from them!

GSIS has affected
me in a variety of ways,
but what I have found
most valuable are the
relationships I have
formed over the years.

I loved working
with such amazing
teachers who are
so genuinely invested in
their job and in the lives of
the students. I miss all the
wonderful school events
and ways GSIS came
together to celebrate those
events and talents
of our students.
