1. Jisu You
serves up the ball
during a home game against
APIS which ends up giving the team
a point. After this point, Jisu successfully continued to serve as the team continued to win points.
2. Freshmen Cindy Jung serves the ball to continue to
control the game. Making serves during games became
a key point throughout the season whether players
used underhand or overhand serves. 3. Captain June
Lee discusses with Sarah Uhm as the ball is not in play.
Communication on and off the court allowed the team
to be more successful. 4. While playing against Chadwick International School, Hai Jin Park served the ball and
received a point for GSIS. Happy, Ji Won You celebrates
with her sister Jisu You and waits for the next serve, so
she can rotate back to her original spot. 5. Jennifer Kim
and Jisu You shake hands and wish the SIS team good luck
before the start of the game. Every game started off in this
fashion with both teams wishing the best for each other.
6. Julia Lee, Hai Jin Park, and Sharon Cho follow along
with the game. Managers usually have to be incredibly
focused to follow the game and keep stats. 7. June Lee
returns all the volleyballs back to the volleyball cart after
serving warm ups. Warm ups before the start of games
usually consisted of passing drills, hitting lines, and then
serving. 8. Jiwon You strains to reach for the ball while
participating in the passing drill for warm ups. Jiwon
demonstrated a proper passing form by getting low and
straightening her arms.
