Prior
to
the start of chapel,
Frontline Coordinator, John
Park hands out papers to Lower Secondary Frontline members. These papers that are cut
out in various shapes likes snowmen and apples and helped
designate teams. 2. Close friends, Ziho Hwang and Jongwhee Jeon wrap
their arms around one another as they stand in the back of the auditorium waiting for festivities to begin. The Christmas chapel was combined with lower and
upper secondary students to promote school unity. 3. Electric Guitar player and
third year praise team member, David Kim plays ‘This is Amazing Grace’ alongside freshman Jackie Kim. They also played ‘Good Good Father’ during this chapel.
4. Approaching the stage and waving their arms back and forth during the teacher
performance, Robin Cho, Joo Young Chang, Seoyeon Kang, Sojin Han, Jessica Oh,
Noel Lee, Jongwhee Jeon, and Ziho Hwang enjoy supporting their teachers as they
sing John Lennon’s ‘So This is Christmas’. 5. Max Kim and Hee Yoon Kim aid Mr.
Lozano as he calls students up from their homerooms to spin the wheel of fashion.
This wheel helped the homerooms select their theme for the Spiritual Emphasis
Week fashion show. 6. Mr. Villareal’s Junior homeroom students, Eric Lee, Jun
Kwon, and Soichiro Tagami clap their hands together to support the worship team
and keep tempo. Students often stand and clap their hands when participating
in worship. 7. Frontline member Jessie Lee explains the Christmas chapel multiple choice challenge to Praise Team member Chris Jung. The students were racing
to the front of the line. The student who got the question correct were able to
take one step closer to that line. 8. Elementary grade three teacher, Mr. Coleman
sets up his DJ equipment and rocks out on stage prior to the start of chapel. This
was a special occurrence to celebrate the Christmas chapel and was preceded by
the Jazz Band performing ‘The Funky Monkey’. 9. Showing his excellency in hula-hooping, Eric Lee proudly comes to the front of the auditorium to demonstrate
how this skill requires movement of the hips and practice. Mr. Lozano shared the
story about his nieces being unable to do this due to them only moving their legs.
10. Kelly Lee, Erina Sakamoto, Samuel Lee, and Chanyel Back sit in a large circle
with approximately 20 other students and play a dice game. Those who rolled doubles were able to unwrap part of the present. The person who took off the final
layer of wrapping was able to keep the present.

her brother Loukas
Kang, who is the
2016 praise team
leader.

grown since the inception of the school, where
it was first filled with
teachers, and is now
filled with several
different teams
of students.
