1. During a drama workshop, Trey Noh and professional actor Mr. Maceo pose. Trey and Mr. Maceo were pretending to be police officers in their improvisation exercise called “Freeze.” When a person calls freeze, the improv would stop and swap places with different people. Trey Noh will be the first GSIS student majoring in acting at university. He was accepted to Theatre Program at USC. 2. Tenors Daniel Kim and Aidan Schneider sing
along to “Blue Skies.” Originally, the students were going to snap their fingers as they sang but decided not to
because they couldn’t get the beat right. 3. Joanne Lee practices playing the flute for the upcoming winter
concert. The piece was very difficult so it took a lot of practice for the flute players to coordinate their rhythm.
4. Joanne Lee, Minseo Kim, Itomi Ishizuka, and Lucy Jung sing “Blue Skies” as Mrs. Choi plays the piano. The
Upper Secondary Choir col laborated with the middle school choir and high school orchestra to perform “Have
Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” at the annual Christmas concert. 5. Caelan Hodge practices playing the
drums for the Fall concert. Caelan was a percussionist for the Upper Secondary Concert Band and the Jazz Band.
6. Trumpet players Jaden Jeong and Lindsey Choi practice playing the song “Furaha”. Lindsey thought that the
song was very energetic compared to the other songs that they had played. 7. Mr. Maceo and Jinny Shin practice
improvisation by pretending to hold packages. Jinny had just joined the improv and changed the story so that she
was member of a parcel delivery service company. 8. Hanna Choi, Jade Hughes, Louie Chung, and Ji Lee act like
they are having a tug-of-war contest. They were practicing improvisation in an exercise in which they had to act in
different situations without props.
