1. DP Chemistry teacher Mr.
Villareal shows Stacy
Chung the one liter mark
on the volumetric flask that
indicates exactly where one liter of
liquid would reach. Stacy was preparing
to create a sodium thiosulfate solution in
the volumetric flask. 2. Haley Park measures
the mass of a mixture of iron, zinc, salt, and sand.
She was doing a lab on the separation of mixtures.
3. Hyun Nam and James Ahn work on their assignment
‘Laboratory Observation of Mitosis.’ The assignment required
students to find and draw the various stages of mitosis as outlined
by the textbook. 4. Grace Lee adjusts the coarse adjustment knob of
her microscope. The coarse adjustment knob brought the specimen into
general focus whereas the fine adjustment fine-tuned the focus and increased
the detail of the specimen. 5. Chris Jung asks Mr. Montgomery, the Biology teacher, questions on the Electron Micrograph of Intestinal Epithelium Cells quiz. During
class, the students took quizzes on the electron micrograph of intestinal epithelium cells,
salivary gland cells, mitochondria within a cell, muscle cells, and nerve cells. 6. During Chemistry class, Mr. Villareal clarifies and helps David Kim, Ethan Kim, and Alex Kim prepare for the
upcoming test. Students were given class time to study for the exam on atomic structure and electron configuration. 7. In MYP Chemistry, Younglee Kim solves a mass spectrograph worksheet using the
Periodic Table. 8. Loukas Kang, Chanyel Back, and Changhee Han record the mass of some zinc. Students had
to separate elements through magnets and heating. 9. Heather Yang pours hydrochloric acid into a test tube. For
her Biology IA, she was investigating the relationship between sodium levels and protein digestion.
