Results
Response Rates and Demographics
Survey 1 received a total of 123 valid responses of a potential
669, resulting in an 18% response rate. Survey 2 received a
total of 125 valid responses of a potential 661, resulting in a
19% response rate. The use of a unique code, generated for
each Survey 1 respondent, enabled the determination of the
proportion of Survey 1 respondents that also completed Survey
2. A total of 89 (71%) respondents completed both surveys.
In Survey 1, 66% of respondents work with food-producing
animals, 18% provide advice to, or consult with, veterinarians
who work with food-producing animals, and 16% both work with
food-producing animals and provide advice to, or consult with,
veterinarians who work with food-producing animals.
In Survey 2, 68% of respondents work with food-producing
animals, 15% provide advice to, or consult with, veterinarians
who work with food-producing animals and 17% both work with
food-producing animals and provide advice to, or consult with,
veterinarians who work with food-producing animals. Figure
2 shows the percentage of respondents for each category for
Survey 1 and Survey 2.
