I would like to end here with an image, with the gull that our colleague was saying, that we have to fly.
But fly in a coordinated way to build a world of change, a world of love, a world in which women are not discriminated against and where opportunities really are for everyone. This responsibility means that ParlAmericas must be strengthened, but strengthened through the actions of each one of us.
Tomorrow when each of us are flying home, during those hours on the airplane, let’s think:
What can we do, when I return to my
country, to my town, to the people, to
the citizens that have a right to a
better life, a life of dignity, a life of happiness?
We have an obligation and a
responsibility to do this – as legislators,
as human beings, as citizens, and above
all, as women committed to a better
world, to a world with more humanity
and solidarity.
