Facilitator: Keila González

Ms. González is NDI’s resident director in Mexico. She has a BA in psychology (cum laude) with a minor in human development from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. From 2008 to 2010 she coordinated a regional program to support women's caucuses. She also served as principal contact for civil society and public safety programs. Prior to working with NDI, she led the Democratization of Political Leadership project, developed by the civic movement Citizen Participation in the Dominican Republic. Ms. González has trained and advised political parties and civil society organizations in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Argentina, and Bolivia, on topics such as: strategic planning, best practices for effective political parties, the relationship between political parties and civil society, outreach to new social sectors, advocacy campaigns, leadership training, working in coalitions, community capacity-building, and facilitation of decision-making processes, among others.
