Crazy Liberty Semi-Permanent Dye
It’s been quite a while since I have been this excited about reviewing a new pet labeled semi-permanent dye and I am very
happy to have had this opportunity as well as the ability to share this information with our members and readers.
When the NAPCG assesses a product for safety, the first step is to gather a complete list of ingredients. This sounds easy, but is
often difficult when companies are not required by law to release this information in the pet industry and many try to fool us with
partial lists that will do not accept. I can honestly say this was not the case when working with Ziver LLC, founder of the Crazy
Liberty products.
They were more than happy to provide us with a complete ingredients list for each color. Even among the same brands,
ingredients can vary slightly, thus each individual color must be scrutinized. Of the 12 varying colors of Crazy Liberty, all are
safe for use on both cats and dogs.
Our next step is to investigate the company itself. The NAPCG does not promote, endorse, or condone companies who make
some safe products, but on the other hand will also manufacture and sell products that are damaging and downright dangerous
for use on pets. Again, this has not been the case with Crazy Liberty, nor Ziver LLC. They have been an open, honest company
who seek to provide high quality products without sacrificing the safety of the pets with other products…and these are the
companies the NAPCG seeks to promote within the professional industry.
Lastly, it’s time to check the results of the products! Stevie, my special needs, white Maltese was our model for black and yellow.
As you can clearly see, little Stevie Bee has true colors. The yellow is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The black is a
purple based, true black. I did apply the black twice just to get good depth, but even with a single application, it is true to color.
Marjory, our silver toy poodle, was our next model with all over violet. Here in the USA we tend to think of ‘violet’ as a lighter
shade of purple. As you can see, the Crazy Liberty is a gorgeous purple that shows wonderfully on even a silver coat, but keep
in mind that it is not what we sometimes consider violet…we would typically call this ‘purple’.
Our last model was a Bichon Frise, Angel. We chose to test red as this is another color that can be difficult to accomplish. Once
again, I am happy to relay that the Crazy Liberty red is in fact, red. It is not orange, nor pink…it is red. We did apply her red
color twice to get the depth I wanted for her groom, but this is something we do with many semi-permanent dyes when we are
looking for a depth of color.
To summarize, Crazy Liberty is not only a safe product, the colors are true, and the company itself has been a pleasure to work
with. Personally, I would give this product an A+…but please see the tips and tricks section as Crazy Liberty is a bit different
than some of the products we typically use. It would be a shame to use this fabulous product and not get great results simply
because it wasn’t used properly.
