The Tiber River flows under Ellicott City, Maryland's Main Street —Literally.
If you visit the historic neighborhood in Howard County, you will see the small,
pretty stream running behind, alongside and through stone foundations that are
one hundred years old or more. The Tiber converges with the Hudson branch before
flowing into the much larger Patapsco River just outside of city limits. Together,
the streams create a corridor of leafy green that defines the bucolic nature of the
neighborhood.
