This tour includes walking steep, descending steps into the ravine. Space is limited and reservations are required. Many of our events feature flora and fauna like the new event, Busy as a Bee: Beekeeping and Prairie Walk, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13. Local beekeeper Jesse Nodolf will explain the life cycle of bees and his experiences in bee keeping. Located at Tuleta Prairie, participants will also have the opportunity to tour the prairie and learn about the ways the bees and prairie depend on one another. Participants should meet at the west end of the Tuleta Prairie on Tuleta Hill Rd. to tour the prairie and hear about how the prairie is dependent upon bees for its beauty. Greenwald (Towns) July 4,1955–July 8, 2012 It was just over 28 years ago when Sherry Towns started Towns & Associates, Inc. to produce guest directories for hotels throughout the United States. The ability to stay in business for that long is in and of itself a success story. But being able to do so while allowing the company to continually evolve is a tribute to Sherry. My relationship with Sherry began over 15 years ago when she hired me to coordinate an annual group of guest directory productions. Two years later, Sherry decided to move back to her hometown to be closer to family—family was most important to her. Sherry did not intend to move the company so she asked me to manage it for her.
