46 | Green Lake magazine 2012 For 40 years, the Green Lake Fine Arts Show has featured the works of over 100 artists from around the Midwest. The show at Playground Parkon Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12gives attendees a perfect opportunity to purchase something made in the USA and to meet the artist. When you buy a piece of artwork, you get to meet the person who made it, says Guy Rossberg, chairman of the show for 30 years. Its more meaningful when you can talk to the artist and learn how they created the piece. Each year more than 200 artists apply to participate in the show, and a selection committee determines ܅܈Liʈۈi̜i݅L̰ says each year there are new artists displaying their works in oil and watercolor paintings, jewelry, pottery, stained glass, photography, sculpture, vi]ʓiʓi>]>ʓV more. There is literally something for everyone here, and its a great time to start thinking about buying Christmas gifts.
