EMPOWERing Women to Succeed
Empower Women’s Leadership Conference Held
More than 600 professionals from throughout the region attended
Empower, the fourth annual Women’s Leadership Conference
at Mohegan Sun Pocono. This regional, day-long conference is
designed to emphasize women’s ability to forge a positive change
in their communities and in their personal and professional lives
while highlighting the incredible energy created when women come
together to support one another.
This year’s keynote speakers were Katie Goodman, author of
“Improvisation for the Spirit,” and headliner and creator of “Broad
Comedy,” and AmyK Hutchens, leadership coach and author of “The
Secrets Leaders Keep.” Executive track speakers included Sen. Lisa
Baker, Dr. Ida Castro, Elizabeth Graham and Ellen Kyzer. Emerging
professionals track speakers included Jane Amato, Dr. Lauren
Hazzouri, Attorney Kelley Kaufman and Sara Thaxton.

Empower Women’s Leadership Conference is a regional event
presented by the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, in
conjunction with the Greater Pittston, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton
and Back Mountain Chambers of Commerce.
