18 Greater Enid Chamber Of Com merce 2017 - 2018 Community Development Highlights • Koch Fertilizer’s $1.3 billion plant expansion was completed. It is one of the largest capital expenditures in state history. • Johnston Seed Company celebrated its 125th Anniversary. • Atwoods completed a substantial expansion to its distribution center operation. • ADM Milling’s $32 million plant upgrade is near completion. • Transportation Partners & Logistics expanded its trans-loading facility which houses wind energy components. • Wind development investment in Garfield County has topped $1 billion. • $15 million solar farm was built in Garfield County. • Progress is being made on the Kaw Lake water pipeline project. The project will provide a diversified, sustainable water source for Enid. • Vance AFB runway project was completed. The project signifies a long- term commitment to the base and its continued mission in Enid. • Enid Public Schools is completing school improvements approved in the $93 million school bond. The competition gym and fine arts center are scheduled for completion in fall 2019. • Best Western Glo, the new downtown hotel, is under construction. • New Enid entry signs were installed and a community wayfinding signage plan is being implemented. Koch Fertilizer Chisholm View wind farm • Plans are underway for a new terminal Transportation Partners & Logistics rail yard at Enid Woodring Regional Airport. • New retail stores opened in Land Run Town Center and Stonebridge Plaza. • Enid is continuing to invest in important infrastructure and quality of life improvements (water resources, road upgrades, parks & trails). • CNB Center continued to expand Enid’s visitor industry and bring outstanding entertainment opportunities to NW Oklahoma.
