18 Greater Enid Chamber Of Com merce 2016 - 2017 Community Development Highlights • $360 million Kaw Lake water pipeline project was approved by Enid voters. The project will provide a diversified, sustainable water source for Enid. • Koch Fertilizer’s $1.3 billion plant expansion was completed. It is one of the largest capital expenditures in state history. • Hanor relocated their corporate headquarters to Enid. Hanor Family of Companies employs 6000 nationwide. • HANOR Corporate Headquarters Vance AFB $35 million runway was completed. The project signifies a long- term commitment to the base and its continued mission in Enid. • New shopping centers opened – Land Run Town Center (Academy Sports) and Stonebridge Plaza. • Enid had $812 million net taxable sales in 2016. That was 20% above pre- oil boom levels. • Chisholm View wind farm had a $100 million expansion. Transportation Partners & Chisholm View wind farm Logistics chose Enid for their new rail yard which houses wind energy components. TP&L positions Enid for further growth in the industry. • • Esplanade Apartments opened and additional housing projects are underway. • Glo, a new Best Western hotel brand, has been announced for the downtown hotel. • New Enid entry signs were installed and a community wayfinding signage plan is being implemented. • Enid Public Schools is making progress on school improvements approved in the $93 million school bond. The competition gym and fine arts center are scheduled for completion in summer 2019. • Enid is continuing to invest in important infrastructure and quality of life improvements (water resources, road upgrades, parks & trails). • CNB Center continued to expand Enid’s visitor industry and bring outstanding entertainment opportunities to NW Oklahoma.
