he dog days of summer can become quite
tiresome when it’s only been a week into
summer break and you’ve already taken
the kids to every waterpark, museum and
movie in town. If you’re looking for something new,
exciting and educational to do with the kids, look no
further than Little Diner’s Crew.
GEM: What exactly is Little Diner’s Crew and how
did it come about?
D.C. Little Diner’s Crew is a dining club for kids be-
tween the ages of 4-12 years old. Our goal is to expand
their palates beyond mac-and-cheese and chicken
fingers. We introduce them to different foods from
around the world at different Chicago restaurants,
educate them on how food is prepared and where it
comes from, and allow parents to enjoy the dining
experience with them.
