BULGARIA Ingredients •1kg dry white beans SCHOOL: •3 tablespoons tomato paste BRITISH SCHOOL OF •1 onion SOFIA •2 tablespoons sweet red pepper •4-5 tablespoons flour •2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil •1-2 tablespoons dry spearmint •Smoked sausages for decoration •salt Preparation 1. Put the beans into water for 24 hours. 2. Throw away the water, pour new one and boil the beans until they get soft. 3. Put the beans and the water into a baking dish. 4. Chop the onion and fry it in a pan. Add red pepper, tomato sauce, flour, and some water. HRISTINA SAMARDZHIEVA 31 5. Add this mixture to the beans. Put salt and spearmint and add more water. 6. Bake at 220 degrees until almost all the water has evaporated. 7. Take the baking dish out of the oven, put the sausages onto the beans and return it into the oven for 15min. Main Course
