Letter from the Editor

Beloved Ministers

Welcome to the Autumn edition of the new Gracevine. I was hoping that we would have the theme of One Spirit reaching 19 years old and what that means for us all. However,, it seems that this theme did not inpsire you as I have received no contributions on this subject. Howeverr, a small theme has formed itself on the subject of the Value of Ceremony. There are three articles which come under this theme:

1. Marcus Sorensen's "Consecration' shows the truly miraculous nature of ceremony. If you ever doubted the power that ceremony can have, reading this article will put those doubts to rest.

2. Jean Francis has contributed a report on the Circle of Life Festival she organised in Horsham last May. What an inpsiration to us all! So many wonderful ceremonies in the space of one week.

3. Ganga offers a piece on an Elemental Blessing Ceremony that she created for a mother to mark the 21st birthday of her daughter. Again, the profound effect of ceremony is spelled out in the mother's reflections.

For this edition I have chosen a couple of videos from Youtube for the Video Spot. One of them is an interview with one of Wayne Dyer's daughters. It is a lovely way to mark the passing of a man who became a true luminary in his lifetime. I have also reviewed his book 'The Shift' on the Book Review Page. The other video is from Leonard Jacobson and is called Awakening to Presence. Let's have some videos made by One Spirit ministers for the next edition.

I would like to express my thanks to our volunteer journalists: Anton Jarrod and Anne Cross. Anne has been busy arranging her daughter's wedding this month, so has not been able to contribute. I am sure you will join me in wishing her daughter and her new husband every happiness in their life together.

The theme of the Spring 2016 issue will be Interfaith Ministry - What does it mean to you? It would be interesting to hear your experiences of ministry, how you choose to express your ministry in the world, how has being a minister changed your life,, and any other aspect of ministry that interests you, Please submit your articles, letters or other material on this subject before March 22nd 2016.

Any feedback on how you like (or don’t like) the new look Gracevine will be useful to help us move forward in creating a new and vibrant publication that truly reflects One Spirit.

With love and blessings

Sarah
