We as humans have a choice, free will if you like. We are able to resist this love, in all its forms. Our makeup allows us to be led by our logical, rational minds. We are able to “think”, and without the input of our deeper feeling self, are able to create some horrendous outcomes. We are able to go to war, to defend what we believe is ours. We are able to abuse ourselves and our environment.

Unless our choices are tempered by the energy of our hearts, unless there is a balance between heart and mind, we are not making the most of our humanness.

As humans we have the ability to step back from our thoughts and actions; we can

become the observer of our creations. We are able to revaluate our choices, to choose differently. One of our greatest assets as humans is that we are able to feel. When we feel we know we are alive, we know we exist. Being able to feel is what makes us human. We have given names to our feelings, such as fear, anger, sadness, happiness and joy. If we speak of feeling angry, we have an understanding between us of what this means.

Sharing our feelings with others; understanding the feelings of another, leads to empathy. We recognise that we have a shared experience, shared feelings, and this brings us together as humans. As these feelings originate from a deeper part of ourselves, we are able to connect with another on a deeper level. Our hearts meet and we become joined in love, as we recognise ourselves in another. In that moment we know in truth that we are love, and love is all there is, and more than that, love is all we need.

May love lead the way for us today and everyday.
