Global School, Chandigarh
won the “Best Golfer of the
Tournament” award at the 2nd
edition of the SelaQui International Inter-
School Golf Championship Played at the
Classic Golf & Country Club on 3rd and
4th October 2019. She had a two day
cumulative score of 3 under par 141. She
beat Aditya Sood of S D Public School,
Chandigarh on count back.
In the team championship Gurukul Global
School comprising Hunar Mittal and
Mandhar Parashar beat the First Steps
School also of Chandigarh by 4 strokes.
The Winning School in the 9-12 age
category was British School, New Delhi
comprising Aarav D Shah and Cameron
Virk. They beat The Shriram School
Aravali by 20 strokes.
Aarav Shah of the British School shot the
best score of the tournament. On day 1 he
shot a 4 under par 68.
Winners at the Prize distribution ceremony
The 2 day event which was played under
the Aegis of Indian Golf Union (IGU)
has been recognized by the International
Junior Golf Scoreboard. A record number
of entries 118 from Schools were received
for the tournament.
This year the Selaqui International School
announced Scholarships for winners of the
A and B category in the tournament. 50%
of the Annual School Fee was announced
as the Scholarship by the Headmaster of the
School and the management of the DPSG.
This tournament is an annual event in the
IGU calendar, sponsored by the SelaQui
International School, Dehradun.
