THE ULTIMATE
FAMILY GOLF
EXPERIENCE
With more golf courses closing than opening
and number of golfers going down worldwide,
the need of the hour is to make the game of golf
more attractive and to involve the entire family.
Golf courses around the world can no longer
survive on the traditional membership base. Kids
and women have to be encouraged to take up
the game and a conducive environment has to
be ensured for them to stay attached.

n its current form golf is struggling to grow, most
courses are too diffi cult and unwelcoming for those
who aren’t highly skilled. The holes are too long
and the pressure to maintain pace of play takes the
enjoyment out of the game. Without creating multiple
types of golf courses specifi cally designed for every kind
of player, the game caters to a limited market.
The Golden Greens Golf Club, Gurugram is leading one
such initiative to make the game enjoyable for the whole
family; it has created a way for each golfer to share the
same experience, maintain pace of play and fell welcome
and appreciated. For most junior players, new golfers
and women the existing forward most tees were too long.
Golden Greens in technical collaboration with Ultimate
Golf has created a Tee system which caters to golfers of
varied skill levels and capabilities. Ultimate golf designed
a course yardage so that players can have the opportunity to
reach the green in regulation and create more opportunities
for themselves to score more Pars and Birdies.
“Our golf course remains underutilized on the weekdays and
we have been looking at ways to attract golfers throughout
the week. Sundeep Verma and Pritam Saikia who run the
Ultimate Golf Performance Center at our property have
been suggesting to the management to install forward tees
