Feature THE ULTIMATE FAMILY GOLF EXPERIENCE With more golf courses closing than opening and number of golfers going down worldwide, the need of the hour is to make the game of golf more attractive and to involve the entire family. Golf courses around the world can no longer survive on the traditional membership base. Kids and women have to be encouraged to take up the game and a conducive environment has to be ensured for them to stay attached. 24 GolfPlus Junior November-December 2019 I n its current form golf is struggling to grow, most courses are too diffi cult and unwelcoming for those who aren’t highly skilled. The holes are too long and the pressure to maintain pace of play takes the enjoyment out of the game. Without creating multiple types of golf courses specifi cally designed for every kind of player, the game caters to a limited market. The Golden Greens Golf Club, Gurugram is leading one such initiative to make the game enjoyable for the whole family; it has created a way for each golfer to share the same experience, maintain pace of play and fell welcome and appreciated.
