he Indian junior golfers have been faring well
in India and abroad.
Although the Asian games team could not
perform as expected but it indeed was a great
exposure for the players. Sifat Sagoo aptly described
her experience at the Asian Games “To represent
my country at the Asian Games is a feeling I cannot
express in words. It has been one of the high points
of my short career. To be able to play against some
of the best amateurs in Asia was a great feeling. It
was a huge step for me and one that will always be
in my memory”.
The juniors were rocking and shining at the Hero
Women’s Indian Open 2018 in the amateur category.
Sifat Sagoo and Diksha Dagar who represented India
at the recent Asian Games in Jakarta were a part of
the event with Pranavi Urs and Gaurika Bishnoi
adding to the spot light. Besides participating in

favorite players.
Talking about coaching, we are now seeing a lot
more golfers considering going to the US for training
to maximize their potential. Is it the collegiate level
of golf in America that is attracting a number of
golfers or is the level of coaching available in India
lacking? In a special feature in this issue we have
discussed about the life of a golfer from Junior Golf
to College Golf. I am sure every passionate golfer
dreams to represent their country abroad and it
might help to read about it from the ones who have
experienced it.
I hope you enjoy reading the news and instructions
in this issue. Do write in and give your feedback to
help us reach out to you better.
