‘ India ’ s finest young golfer ’ would aptly define the 14-year-old child prodigy Shubham Jaglan .

hubham ’ s tryst with golf began when he was just 5 years old . Hailing from a family and village of wrestlers , Shubham had assumed that he would also follow suit .
Last year , when two-time former world junior champion Shubham Jaglan suffered a career-threatening back injury , the youngster was laid up in bed for over three months . Resumed training early this year and won his �rst IGU amateur title when he emerged victorious in the Indian Golf Union ( IGU ) Samarvir Sahi Amateur Championship at the Chandigarh Golf Club .
GolfPlus Junior talks to the youngster who is the Indian teen golf sensation .
GPJ : How do you manage your time between golf and studies ?

SJ : The Laxman Public School , where I study has helped a lot all thanks to the Golf foundation as they were the ones who got me there . All of my teachers and friends are very helpful and I know I have to study because I feel like my education is just like a huge stepping stone towards my goal .
GPJ : What are your future plans ?
SJ : I ’ m planning to �nish my education , get into a US COLLEGE and then go onto the PGA TOUR . But most importantly , I plan to rise in the World Amateur Rankings and hopefully become number one before touring pro .
GPJ : What do you think is the difference playing on the Indian Grass that from International ?
SJ : To be true , I think international courses are much better than the ones we have in
