Seven young golfers ( gentlemen and ladies team ) who quali�ed to represent India at the 18th Asian Games to be held from 23rd to 26th August in Indonesia is undergoing stringent training under the leadership of the national coach Amandeep Johl .
Teams have travelled twice to Indonesia for practise round to Jakarta Pandok Indah golf course to get the feel of the course fully sponsored by SAI ( Sports Authority of India ) and under wings of IGU ( Indian Golf Union ). Golf course management tips were given by leading Asian tour professional Gaganjeet Bhullar , Udayan Mane , Jyoti Randhawa and Khalin Joshi , who have played on this golf course several times .
The Men and Women team have also been playing various tournaments abroad as a preparation before Asian Games .

All players have been given ample exposure in their quest for a medal at the biggest sporting event of the continent . Team was sent for a week along with national coach Amandeep Johl in the month of June for practise round to Jakarta after which international tournaments ( mentioned below ) have been played to get acquainted with the pressure that is going to follow during the Asian games week .

>> Singapore Amateur 9th to 12th July , followed by practise round to Main Venue at Jakarta
>> Louis Philippe Cup 2018 , Asian Development Tour ( ADT ) and Professional Golf Tour of India ( PGTI ) co-sanctioned event , in Bengaluru ’ s Prestige Golfshire Club from July 31st , 2018 .

Women Team was sent for a week along with national coach Amandeep Johl in the month of June for practise round to Jakarta after which international tournaments have been played to get acquainted with the pressure that is going to follow during the Asian games week .

COACHING CAMP FROM 10TH TO 17TH AUGUST
Both Men and Women Team is coached from 10th to 17th August before their travel for the main event in J P Greens – Greater Noida and DLF Golf and country Club- Gurugram . Team comprises of national coach Amandeep Johl along with �tness trainer – Deepika Chopra and Zeeshan ( physiotherapist ) from Fitness Hub . Coach : Mr . Coach for Asian Games Team Squad . He has been a past National Amateur Champion , played for India in the national Junior Squad as well as the amateur squad from 1986- 1990 . He has represented India in all major amateur championships including the 1990 Asian games , Eisenhower Cup , Nomura Cup , St Andrews Links Trophy , the Singapore Amateur , British Amateur , and many others . He turned professional in 1990 and played on the Asian and European Tours until 2009 .
