Feature I n the year 2009 Gauri got astonished while ƀ ipping channels at home when she saw few people playing in a big garden (i.e. Golf course). His father told her about golf and that was the point when Gauri decided to start playing and going on the golf course. When asked Gauri we came to know that she does not have a Golf background, nobody in the family has ever played golf. But, with the support of her parents especially her mother she is continuing the game and aspires to be a professional golfer in the future. Gauri Karhade scored hole-in-one at par-3 14th at Oxford Golf & Country Club, Pune, on the last day of the IGU Maharashtra Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship played from May 22 to 25, 2018 GPJ: What has been the e role of IGU? GK: IGU is the parent body for golf in India. They conduct National tournaments providing opportunity to the junior golfers. One can progress s to higher levels only from m this great platform. GPJ: What are your future plans? GK: I am practising for the latter half of the IGU tournaments starting from October 2018. Ultimately, I aspire to be a professional golfer GPJ: Favourites?
