Fully loaded at the top of the backswing
change direction, you load even more,
pushing energy into the ground. As
you are pushing energy into the ground
Newton’s law is pushing back. You now
have all this stored energy being built
up to be released at impact. A person
may weigh 70kg at the top of their
backswing, some of the best players
in the world weight 114kg on the way
down because they are really pushing
into the ground generating force. (Pic 3)
When Tiger Woods use to lose height
in his swing it was due to him putting
tremendous force into the ground during
his transition to generate power. If you
can get the feeling of squatting in your
downswing you will begin to store all of
this energy to be unleashed at impact.

shoulder and hip rotate out of the way

What you see with all of the long drivers
is that they begin to post and spring up
during their downswing by rotating the
lead shoulder and hip out of the way
similar to Rory McIlroy. If you begin to
do this, I guarantee you will hit it farther
and straighter. (Pic 4,5)
