There are literally hundreds of caravan parks around Australia and , with the increasing popularity of caravanning , the competition between caravan parks and other forms of free or low-cost camping has never been more intense . For caravan parks to be successful , they need to offer something more than just a powerpoint and a patch of dirt .
We have been travelling around Australia for the last 2.5 years and , during that time , we ’ ve visited many caravan parks . While some are better than others , we have noticed that many caravan parks have been renovated or are in the process of improving their facilities .
That said , some of our favourite caravan
parks offer more than just a nice new toilet block . Some provide a unique and very special experience for their visitors . Here , we will share the parks we feel offer visitors something different and special .
